It's Been Too Long

Well, I haven't posted in over a year, changed my email and lost my password. Had to do some digging to find this info., but I am back and will try to keep up with it a little better. Most of you know you know we have a new love - our lovely daughter named Ava Paige, was born on Oct. 4, 2010, yes she will be 1 in a couple months. I cannot believe it. Anison is 3 and never stops, she is a character, loves Dora, swimming, and adores her little sister. Hopefully she will continue to feel that way about her as they grow up together. Ashley is going to be a sophomore at Brazoswood, varsity cheer, she is doing well. Below you will see a picture of the wonderful family reunion that we had for my grandpa's 90th...what a great event and a great picture!! My mom is getting married in November to a wonderful man named Tom, she is very happy. Bernie and I are so blessed, we both have our health, we have great jobs, and have just booked a trip to Puerto Rico in December for the whole family! Bernie is so ready to go home to see family, bring us to meet everyone, and see where he was born . We are all very excited. God Bless...Here are a couple pics to see our family:

Anison @ 19 Months

Oh my how time flies...I can't believe my baby in not really a baby anymore. That baby phase only lasts a short while, but we are loving our little toddler. She is very excitable. She started swimming lessons on the weekends, don't worry it is an indoor heated pool, so very comfortable! She is doing well, loves the water. She just loves to run, from mommy and daddy, anyone who is willing to chase her. She is stubborn at times, when she know she wants something she is persistent about getting it, but you know us women!! Daddy has taught her about his favorite game...FOOTBALL and she tags along to mommy's high school football games sometimes. She can recognize this game on TV or on the field and even the actual football...I need to teach her about softball!! She is talking more everyday...It is hard to believe how much she knows at 19 months. Here are some recent photos for your viewing pleasure!!

Anison is now 15 months and she started school this week. Well, day care, but it is more like a school structure, so far so good, except she cries a little when I leave her in the morning (heartbreaking). She is developiong her little personality and she is very fun. We are waiting patiently for her to walk on her own, but let me tell you, this girl is stubborn. As soon as mommy lets go she sits right down...oh well, everyone keeps telling me she will do it on her own time and that I will wish she was still crawling because I will be chasing her everywhere. She is talking more and more everyday saying new things all the time, even though we are not sure what many of them are. Enjoy the pics and the video...she is our little doll.

Anison Turns 1, Ashley Turns 13!!!

Anison's first birthday was a blast...she enjoyed it very much and was spoiled by all as usual. We celebrated Ashley's 13th birthday at the same time and she too had fun and raked in the money. Fun was had by all and the wonderful and thoughful gifts were greatly apprciated.

I cannot beleive how fast my little girl is growing, we are enjoying every minute of it. Today we went to the Rodeo and the family time was nice...it was a beautiful day to be out. This week I am on spring break so I will be spending the week with her, which is very exciting.

Anison's First Christmas

The Lopez family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!! Anison learned about the joys of the holidays through the many family gatherings, many pictures, midnight mass, and many gifts. Ashley got to spend about 4 days with us which is always a blessing, she is definitely growing quickly into a beautiful young lady, she will turn 13 this year...wow!! She is doing very well in school and staying busy with cheer. Sean, my brother, came home from Russia and is getting out of the Marines, we were excited to spend time with him and look forward to having him home, we have missed him; however who knows how long he will be here, I am sure he will have many opportunities in the near future.

Anison is 10 months...I cannot believe how fast time flies, she is changing daily, getting a little personality, talking more, and scooting around getting ready to crawl. She is very attached to her "baby" which is a bear that Sean and Tiffany gave her (She is holding it in the pic below)...she loves it. I had to sneak it away from her to wash it when she was sleeping. She is very fun because she is constantly making funny faces, using her tongue to talk, smiling, and generally having a good time. Here are a few pics of our holiday fun!!

Anison Learns to Clap & Fall Pics...

I have not bogged in a while busy...busy. Here is our fall fun!! Anison Learns to CLAP at 9 months!! YEAH!!

I could have never imagined the joy that Anison has brought to my life. I knew I was lucky to have such a good life and have always felt blessed with a great family, but now I feel this even more so when I spend time with Anison. She is such a fun baby. I know there will be bumps in the road, but I will always look back at this time when she can make us smile and laugh and we can make her smile and laugh easily. I so look forward to spending all my free time with her, Bernie, and Ashley!! :)

Life after Ike

It's been a full and long week since we've returned to our casa after the evacuation. Wind, rain, no a/c, no lighting... This was the full hurricane experience. We'll have to wait some years down the road to tell the tale to Anison. She's too young to know what's going on (7 months this week). All I know is that our child was hanging around in just diapers to keep cool in Montgomery @ Aunt Erin's house. It was a blessing that our house was in one piece and with electricity. No leaks, no busted windows... Sharon and I really didn't like the fence anyways. Now we have a reason to replace it. Hurricane Ike made everybody scatter all over the state. Ashley went to Waco with her mother and friends. Dad, Mom, and Dennis went to stay a couple of days in Victoria, then off to George West. I don't even know where that is? My brother, Alex was stationed in Beaumont with the National Guard. My sis-n-law, Jennifer Lopez, put in extra hours at the hospital that she works at. My future sis-n-law, Tiffany, spent time in Austin with her cousin Megan that came in from Cali. Our casa became Hotel Lopez this past week, but that's what familia is for. Grandma Carol got lots of extra time with Anison and Fam. All I know is that I'm tired of pulling / cutting / stacking tree branches and fence pieces. Still no school for Sharon and Pearland I.S.D. I actually got paid while we evacuated. Sharon and I had actually had our 1st hot date since Anison's birth...Thanks to Grandma C, dinner @ Canyon Cafe and dessert @ the Cheesecake Factory. (BL)
